When comparing between new construction and existing you should also look @ the features your are receiving in the resale home. Things like lighting, window treatments, fences, decks and patios come @ an additional cost in new construction. Also in a resale, is the decore what you like, or will you have to change it.

Since the homes you are looking @ are in different school districts, is that also a consideration.

I've always felt you can't go wrong with an established neighborhood, but you really have to weigh your pros and cons and compare what kind of value you are getting for your money.
