Ange,

St Augustine is a little different when it comes to condos vs townhomes. Here they are basically the same thing with one exception. Townhomes are multi level and do not have anyone above them or below them. Condos will typically be single story in a multi story complex.

The HOA fees typically will include exterior maintenance and insurance (master policy). Several complexes include the water, cable, and amenities.

I hope this helps.

Some townhomes don't even have HOA fees. Your part of the yard is your job to maintain.

When you buy a townhouse you buy the land as well and you own the walls, roof etc. With a condo you are buying space whicj means you actually only own "paint to paint". The HOA will take care of all exterior maintenance and all common interior maintenance. You are responsible for the upkeep of the inside. HOA on townhomes vary as to what exterior maintenance is included.

Please feel free to email me with any questions.

Thanks
