I live in a nearby town. It is on RT 8, which has heavy commuter traffic, but other times no problem. There is a train station that provides limited service to the main train line in Bridgeport.
Hills can be slippery in winter, but then again a retired person doesn't have to commute to a job.
Having a car, and driving ability is a must! Beacon Falls has scant medical care, restaurants, stores or cultural events, but many available within a half hour driving distance.
