The powerlines which run parallel to 280 between sunnyvale and cupertino -- are they high voltage power lines. If yes -- what is the minimum safe distance to live from these power lines. I am looking to buy a home in the area. Who should I talk to regarding this?

Hi Adhya,

High Voltage Power Lines do run through the City parallel to 280. There are power lines everywhere, where else would they be? I currently have a listing here in CUpertino, and the Lines are perhaps 3 homes away. You do not have to worry about the EMF waves from the lines. If you do choose to buy a home that has lines close to it, during the Contingency period, or even before, you can have PG&E come out and do an EMF report for you. Have you put in an offer? Let me know.
I live and work as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker in Cupertino, am a Public Safety Commissioner with the City, and safety is a priority for me! I can help you buy your home and work through all of your concerns with you. Do contact me and we can take it from there. Check out my website.
Be well and safe, regards,

PG&E....
There is no data to support the premise that there is EMI radiation. Homes typically take a bit longer to sell. But someone got to live there.... Not sure the price is lower though.....
