research this information? Are there title companies that would provide title insurance on trustee sale properties? Last, whom do I contact at IRS to reseach tax lien? Thanks in advance.
If you are a regular home buyer hoping to buy a bargain at a Trustee Sale then you need far mor help than can be found on this or any other web site. You will be playing in a high stakes game with professionals who know the rules and the risks. My advice is to get professional help and be willing to take the time to learn the in's and out's of the business. The cost of getting it wrong can be catastrophic.

Be very careful my friend.
In a normal transaction you pay for title insurance and you're covered. The title company reviews all the public records to determine if there is anything recorded against the property. Then they guarantee it. The liens should all show up through the county records but even the title companies miss items.
I have lots of war stories about folks doing it on their own and then needing me to help them clear things up after the fact.

All your questions can be handled via the county tax records office or website. A title company CANT pass title new buyer till all liens are cleared. Have you buyers agent review process with you.
