We used (also on a Sunday!) Mark from HPEnterprise recommended here. We could not have been happier. He found stuff my hubby didn't see and my hubby is a licensed contractor! We called him at 951.225.2988 and he got us in before the weekend was over. Nice guy, too. Check out other comments on him and decide for yourself, I think some of these guys are just talking about themselves on this site! Be smart!

Independent Home Inspections was referred to us by couple who bought a new home in Temecula / French Valley area. Believe it or not he found defects in a brand new home. Very thorough an punctual. Former military and is very attention to detail minded. The report was well organized with detailed photos. He sent us a copy via email and snail mail but he also offered to hand deliver a printed copy the very next day. I almost forgot, he came out to inspect our house on a Sunday.

Great information here. I was worried this was a fake site but we called three from this answer group and they all seemed great! We did end up with Mark (also recommended here) as he was reasonable, certified and able to do it quickly. This site is awesome. Thanks trulia you saved us loads of time and energy! Oh, and yes I would also recommend Mark from Hp Enterprise ~ great guy, great report can be found at number given (951.225.2988) and I it looks like he started a wesite/blog, our house is soon to be shown or at least our trees!

Jane.. Best Inspectors are typically CREIA or ASHI Certified.. We researched the local crop of Inspectors and settled on a CREIA Master Certified Inspector. He is Steven at American Real Estate Inspection. We have very happy with our choice; very thorough, informative, and professional.. His report is very detailed and informative.. Sally in Temecula, Thanks for the referral of Mark at Hp, we just used him and he was great. We aren't in Temecula, but he came to us. He gave us a 20 page report that included more details than I ever cared to know about our house. We are signing the deal today and moving in to our dream fixer-upper in two weeks.

another great inspector is at Hp Enterprises ask for Mark, he is the best one. We've used him three times and he saved us from a huge mistake on one because of the mold he uncovered in a Meadowview home. He is certified and been in the business over 15 years... great reports and nice guy! Sounds like we date him! Seriously, there are so many underqualified ones, I had to answer!

The better home inspectors care enough about their profession to be active participants in one of the home inspection professional organizations like the California Real Estate Inspection Association online @ http://www.creia.org . There is also ASHI @ http://www.ashi.org & NAHI @ http://www.nahi.org which are more national in scope.
