William J. S…, Home Buyer in Trumbauersville, PA

Surprised that the map feature has been removed as as option when viewing a house of interest.

Asked by William J. Stefens, Trumbauersville, PA Tue Jul 6, 2010

My fiancee and myself have been using both Trulila and Zipreality (found as a link on Trulia) for a number of months, and Trulia used to provide the option of viewing the house of interest on a map, along with the details, photos, and other options available. I am no longer seeing map feature as an option, which is very surprising, as knowing where the property is in relationship to nearby schools, and work, and major roads, is an important part of choosing which houses are worth further interest and viewing.

It would be greatly appreciated if you would please let me know why this feature has been removed, or where to find it if it is still available. Another feature that would be very helpful is to provide dimensions of key rooms such as kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms, as ziprealty provides.

Thank you for your time and consideration in responding to my questions.

Kindly Yours,

William J. Stefens

http://www.suburbanprohomes.com will have the map feature you are talking about as do many other websites. It's quite convenient, isn't it?

We like that feature too which is why we added it on our Remax Access office website for consumers to really get the most from their searches. They can find schools, cafe's hospitals... you name it.

Just plugging our website : )

I would be happy to set you up on our Home Pilot system at http://www.prufoxroach.com. We provide all the stats as long as the listing agent enters it into the system. We also have a great map system whichs also includes brids eye views. I would also be happy to set up some searches in our MLS for you. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or any other way I can be assistance.

William, If you contact a local Realtor they can set up a custom search for you for homes in your areas of interest using their MLS account. They should be able to search by proximity to an address and would be able to quickly find homes that meet all of your needs (if they are available). I think that the MLS is the best source to search for homes because it is where most of the other sites draw their information from and should be the most accurate and up to date source of listings.

Here is a list of Realtors in your area:
