Suggestion for Pleasanton home Search

Need To Buy A S...
Home Buyer
San Jose, CA

Hi knowledgeable agents,

We are a young family, looking for a nice neighborhood in the pleasanton area. I am new to the area, so would appreciate your suggestions on a neighborhood, etc or price range for what i am looking for.

This is my situation:
*2 young kids (15 months and another one on the way due in August)
*want to have a spacious home (at least 2200 )
*Lot: Preferrably some reasonable lot for kids to play
*Affordable and reasonable. Between $800K-$1.1M
*Age of home, prefer less than 30 yrs. Not too old..MINOR remodel is fine.
*Good schools
*Easy access to 680, my husband works in south fremont and I am a contractor so client can be anywhere. I am particulary about living close to freeways as I don't like driving more than 2 miles away from freeway to get home.

Which neighborhoods should I look into? and What price range should I be expecting?

If you have any great recommendations, please email me at emilychiang517@hotmail.com

Thank you.

Hi Emily -

Pleasanton has a wide range of neighborhoods available at many different price points. Typically they can be differentiated by age, lot size, ammenities (community pools, etc), access to schools, commute accessibility, and style.

The best place to explore the neighborhoods of Pleasanton is http://www.680homes.com/pleasanton/neighborhoods/. You can search neighborhoods in Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Blackhawk, Alamo, and Livermore as well. You can get background information on each neighborhood, search available listings in each neighborhood, and see an interactive map of all of the neighborhoods in each city.

Let me know if you would like to talk... I can fill in the blanks for you and give you additional information and point you in the right direction

There are a lot of options for what you described. At that range a great place to start is Ironwood in the Classics collection http://moxleyteam.com/2009/02/pleasanton-neighborhood-spotli…

Also, because of the age range you will be limited to some of the smaller communities because a majority of Pleasanton in that range was built in the 60’s & 70’s.

Country Fair is located very close to 680 and has a great central location within Pleasanton as well.
There is a great neighborhood called Vintage Hills that has great schools and can be very close to 680 through Bernal Ave.
