Darcy Ferrara, Other/Just Looking in Hales Corners, WI

So how do I find out why there are so many homes for sale on one particular short street, besides asking a realtor?

Good Afternoon Darcy;

You could try going direct to the source and ask the neighbors.

You can also go to the recording office and look up each sale, or depending where you are and how long it takes to upload this, you can look them up online at your local counties tax and records site.

Darcy, If you are really REALTOR averse, you are passing up the best source of information; but I'd ask several who have listings on the street. I doubt you will get honest answers from the sellers or neighbors if there is some serious reason for the plethora of listings. Check the neighbors on the next street or the police or the local newspaper and you might get the answer. However, don't jump to a quick negative conclusion if you like the area and see a home you want. Competition drives down prices. There may be a reasonable explanation that will lead you to a bargain purchase. Maybe the sellers are just tired of your Wisconsin winters and just want to come south to Tennessee. Good Hunting. DAVE

You could call all the owners and ask them, or ask neighbors, but what is so bad about asking the Realtors who have them listed? We rarely bite. Sometimes it is just a coincidence too.

You can always go to Realtor.com and search for them that way.
