Evergreen Bu…, Home Buyer in Fremont, CA

Smaller lot size than advertised

Asked by Evergreen Buyer, Fremont, CA Fri Apr 4, 2014

Hi, I have put an offer for a property. The flyer and MLS said that the property is 2700 and lot is 6500. I put the offer based on this info. When my mortgage guys pulled preliminary report, the lot size is showing to be 5250. I tried measuring it using online tools (yes you can) and I am convinced its not bigger than 5250. I am in 7 day appraisal contingency period. What do I do? Can I re-negotiate the price, if yes, by how much?

If you give the address and mls number, it will be a pleasure to help you. Also you should talk to your agent.

Good luck,

Yes you can. Tell the real estate agent what you found and maybe they will have an explication. No point in speculating. Just send me an email if you have any further questions.
