Small, short term rental on the beach needed while house-hunting for fixer-upper on the beach.
I will be relocating to Ft Myers for work in a few weeks, with my spouse not to follow for about 8 months. We will be looking to buy a house on the beach, approx 300K, and ideally a fixer-upper (we both have rehabbed houses before, and are experienced with both cosmetics and more serious issues) before the end of 2009. Meanwhile, I would like to rent a small studio or 1 BR for several months while looking, again hopefully on the beach so it will be easier for me to house hunt. Any hints or help with the plan? Especially anybody who knows of a small, inexpensive place on the beach for me to camp?
