As I understand, There are States that allow different fees. Educate yourself before signing any contract

Hi Hollywood,

Are you refering to your broker or the seller's broker?

If it's your broker, then it all depends on the contract you signed with them. A fee of a couple hundred for record storage and processing is fairly normal. They got to keep the records for 5 years. If your spending a million, then tell them no when you sign the initial contracts. But if your buying a $50,000 REO bargain, then their commission will be tiny and they will insist on the fee, which is pretty fair.

If it's the seller's broker, then why did your broker agree to this in the first place?

Regards, Mark

Hi Hollywood,

I work in your area, and I do not charge a fee to my buyers. My commission comes from the seller. Some brokers do charge an administrative fee, which should be disclosed to you from the start.

Let me know if I can assist you further. Thanks!

Check with that broker to see if they charge an Administrative fee for such service. Some do most do not. You can probably find a broker that does not charge a fee.

Is there a signed Buyer Brokerage Agreement or other signed Contract Agreement between the Buyer and the Broker?

Thanks,
