Should I get a special assessment search if I'm buying a home in SF? it's in the city limits.

Most homes are not subject to a special assessment because all o the roads and utilities have already been in place and paid for when the home was built. For particular information on a specific property, a title company will be able to perform that research for you. Your Realtor will obtain that information for you when you place an offer on a property.
