It Looks like you have some great comments by my Lehigh Valley Associate Agents below but I wanted to give you may 2 cents also.

First of All, if you choose to allow me to represent you as your Buyer's Agent I would assist you in finding a short term rental that would fit your needs. In more cases than not ...helping you with the rental process would be just part of my Full Services to you. Most Likely, it you are looking for a short term meaning 3 months or less..then you would fit best in a local apartment complex that is furnished so you do not have to move twice and these options are available in the Lehigh Valley Area. To be honest with you...it all depends on your budget. You would be spending about 1200 to 1300 per month on a furnished apartment with a short term lease...and you are paying for the Convenience of not moving twice in a short period of time. The rental properties that are listed on the MLS are most of the time looking for long term resident/Tenants.

As for the Realty company that has the most listings: Well, Homes for sale on the market does not work that way. You should not care who the home is listed by as this Real Estate Agent represents the Seller and not you. But, just to complete the answer to your question. 99% of the homes that is listed for Sale in the Lehigh Valley Area are uploaded to the Lehigh Valley MLS and so.....every Real Estate Agent in the Lehigh Valley Area that pays a membership to the Lehigh Valley MLS has direct access to this information. The way it works is the Listing agent uploads the property to the Lehigh Valley MLS and it actually gives the Buyer Agent the right to sell the property and share in the commission that the seller is paying the listing agent.

So, If you were to decide to work someone like me who specializes in helping Buyer's...I would have access to every listing that is listed in this area.

Welcome to the Lehigh Valley!

Short term rentals are available in the area and I have one in Macungie that may be of interest ... 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths one car garage, and all the outside lawn care is included. I work with many clients that are relocating to the area and some do a short term rental (6 months) to get familiar with the area before they decide where they would prefer to live in this wonderful place I call home.

You should look for an agent that can assist in your rental and long term needs and can represent you as a buyers agent. As a fulltime agent and lifelong area resident, I suggest you look for someone who can assist with knowledge of the area to answer your questions and represent you in your transaction. Being from out of the area, you should choose someone that can help you make it as smooth as possible.

You have a few options. You can stay in an extended stay or look for a rental. Is your spouses job paying for the move? If so, her relocation package may include an extended stay which is fully furnished suite.
