Hello,
Ruby Hills is a very beautiful neighborhood in the East of Pleasanton. There are many families out there. You have great golf, pools, swim teams and nice walking areas.
When the development went in , there was an assumption that an Elementary School would be built near Ruby. That never happened for various reasons which are too detailed to write about. Because of this, those residents in Ruby Hill spend quite a bit if time driving to the various schools in Pleasanton. This would be my disclosure to any Buyer looking at the Ruby Hill area.
You may want to go to Google Earth so you can see the driving distance to all the schools. I have lived in Pleasanton for 15 years, raised 3 boys and am very involved in our community. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely,

Dough mentioned below "The only downside to Ruby Hill is that the schools are a little bit of a drive away". Actually most of the Elementary, Middle and High schools have a bus that comes into Ruby hill to pick up the children. So really, I have a hard time thinking of any downside to Ruby Hill.

Ruby Hill is a great place to raise small kids. Safe, secure, with a gated entrance. Demographically, most of the residents in Ruby Hill have children, and with the community pool, clubhouse, playground, and park, it is a great place to meet other families with young kids. The HOA fee covers the security gate, the community park, pool, cabana, playground & tennis courts, and some on the common area landscaping. If you want to join Ruby Hill Country Club, last time I checked it runs in the $50 - $75k range for golf memberships (single, family). The Country Club has their own pool & tennis courts, and you can join as a social member for a couple thousand dollars.

The only downside to Ruby Hill is that the schools are a little bit of a drive away, but you get an incredible setting in the rolling hills and wine country. Ruby Hill is a very desirable community, and has some excellent newer homes to choose from.

Hello Mr. Buyer,

Ruby Hill is a beautiful community with custom homes and very family orientated neighborhood. Most of the people moving into Ruby Hill are families with very young kids. If your kids are into swimming, soccer and tennis, they will love this community.

The Home owners Dues cover the pool, community center, tennis courts, bar-be-cue area, park, 3 security gates and all common area landscaping.

The golf course has 3 levels of golfing available. You can get the full family golf, limited family golf and Individual golf. Altough my house is on the 12th fairway of the Ruby Hill Golf Course, I do not golf so I have never had to get into the pricing of it. It is nice to see golfers from my home and I occassionaly find a golf ball just outside my fence.

Here is a link that might be helpful to get more information on the golf membership

At this time there are 21 properties on the market in Ruby Hill between the price range of $949,950-8,850,000.

If you are not working with an agent, I would love to help you. I have been living in Ruby Hill since 2006 and love being here. You can reach me at 925-425-9491 or go to my website at http://www.helpusellachievers.com

This question is from November, but it is a question I get a lot. Ruby Hills is a very desirable gated community in Pleasanton- having said this, upon closer inspection or a quick drive through the community you will see a lot of homes for sale- many are bank owned homes or short sales due to the recent real estate crisis. Ruby Hills is a newer community and in the luxury price range which is where this economic crisis has really been reflected. As a community, Ruby Hills is a wonderful place to raise a family but at the moment it is in a state of flux. However, this could be a real opportunity for an investor or homeowner to capitalize on, with a large inventory of fantastic homes, you might find your perfect home at a price that is below what it cost to build it just a few years ago. Most homes are fully appointed inside and out and ready to move right in.

If you are interested in looking at distressed properties in Ruby Hills or the surrounding area, I can send you a list of homes in your targeted price range.

Email or call me for information that fits your perametors_

Dear Buyer,

Just curious, did you buy a home yet in Ruby Hill, Pleasanton? At this time there are 16 properties on the market in Ruby Hill between the price range of $985,000-$8,850,000 with a square footage of 3,023- 14,586.

As you can see there is plenty of inventory depending on your price range. If you are still looking, I would be happy to help you.

By the way the bus service to the schools I mentioned below is through Wheels bus service. It goes to the Mddle and high school for sure. You will need to call them about the elementary schools since it depends on the address and they may pass by it. Go to the link below for more information.

Ruby Hills is a great place to raise your family. I find that parents that have children and live in Ruby Hills that there is a lot of running to and from parts of Pleasanton. Play dates, sports, school, and all the activities that come with raising a family happen primarily in other parts of Pleasanton. The location is beautiful and secluded but in the long run you may wish you were closer to everything. Click the links below to learn more about Ruby Hills and other neighborhoods that might interest you. The HOA covers the security gate, pool, club house, park, and tennis courts. Let me know if you would like any more information!

Coming from residents of Pleasanton for almost 30 years, it's hard to find a better city than Pleasanton to bring kids up in.
Ruby Hill is a great community overall and with the amenities within Ruby Hill you will be able to keep the kids busy there with the activities in the community and at the tennis courts and pools. There is also a lot of open space you can access within the gated of Ruby Hill. Leaving Ruby Hill to get to Downtown will only take a few minutes so it really is a great location if that is the type of community and types of homes you are looking at.

Ruby Hills is great, with pool, tennis and golf. There are many families with young kids, as we saw at Trick or Treat, and with all the play structures in back yards. There are 3 levels of membership at the golf club, social, swim/tennis, and golf. And of course, in Pleasanton, there is recreational and competitive soccer, basketball, football, softball and baseball for the kids too, and generally they the recreational leagues try to put kids on a team with other kids from their neighborhoods. So there are lots of activities and lots of kids. check out the website or call if you have more questions.
