Riverwoods Community in New Hope.

Can anyone provide a little information to someone considering a move to the Riverwoods Community in New Hope? What is it that makes this neighborhood so desirable? Is it primarily it’s convenience to NJ and commuting thoroughfares? On the other hand, what may not be so appealing about this neighborhood? Driving through the neighborhood it seems to be quite busy with a lot of cars parked in the street. I also noticed a fair amount of traffic during my last visit there.

To me this community seems like townhouse living, because the houses are so close. During a recent visit to this community I noticed a lot of families with children. Because the houses are so close, it seems like a great place for kids.

I welcome any open and honest feedback.

Kind Regards,
JP

Hi JP - The homes are close in Riverwoods but it is one of the newer (not new), affordable communities - similar to Peddlers View and North Pointe that offers more modern homes and ammenities and families with children. Many of the properties in the New Hope area are are larger, older, have more property and are a lot more expensive. You can also walk into town from Riverwoods which you can't do from the other communities. If I can help with anything further, please let me know. Judy Hunt, Prudential Fox & Roach

JP, I live just down the hill from Riverwoods, and have many friends that live there. You are correct regarding lots of kids. One of the best places to go trick or treating in the area. Being a large neighborhood, and also sharing a few entrance roads with Village 2, result in heavier traffic than Northpoint. Also, the current Bridge Street construction, which is scheduled to complete in June, probably has many folks detouring over some of those roads(as I do). The neighboorhood is safe, the smaller lots mean less time spent working and more time to enjoy. There have been a few problems with some of the fireplaces, so just make sure you have in inspection done. Easy walk to town, downhill all the way, just save some energy for the uphill climb when you want to go home. Overall, New Hope is a great place to live and raise a family(we have 3 kids) and Riverwoods is about the best priced single family development that is walkable to town.

Dear JP,
In Real Estate, the primary and most important factor to a lot of people is location, location, location! Therefore, the close proximity of the community to New Hope and New Jersey make it a desirable location for those people looking for close proximity to work or just being in/near New Hope. Other subdivisions such as Peddler's View (Delucca Builders) , which is in Lahaska/Peddler's Village provide a location further away but close to the village for those who want to live there. The other subdivision if North Pointe (Katz & Ryan Home Builders) which is a bit further away, with lots that have slightly larger lots sizes. All three subdivisions are in the New Hope/Solebury School District. I know all of these communities well and have listed/sold homes within these communities. Please feel free to contact me for any additional information. I encourage you to check my profile out at ColdwellBanker.com or my website, http://www.FrankDolski.com.
