Can 2 people with bad credit and low income really buy a home? If so what ate the proper channels to do so?

Yes Yes and Yes... But it will take time and effort on your part... First thing is figure out what is going on with your credit.. What are the issues and steps to correcting your credit problems. Correcting the issues, rebuilding credit, and starting a budget to save for a down payment. I help people just like you get into a home in a year or less.

Have a great weekend.

How long ago was your last late payment, unpaid judgement, unpaid collection, or bankrutcy? Is your income below the poverty line and what is the source? Your question is best answered by a mortgage loan officer but your best chance of buying a house is with the finacial gift from a family member.

1. how low is low?

2. how bad is bad?

The answer may be yes..or it may be no, depending on the answers to the above qurstions.

You really need to speak to a mortgage rep and get solid answers..........there is not enough information for anyone here to answer your question! If nothing else, a mortgage rep can help put you on the right track to improve your credit.................the income is something you will need to handle.

Stop in your local bank and ask to speak to their loan officer....it's a place to start.
You can also find an agent who can suggest a few names...........Do that first before even thinking of looking at homes!!

Best wishes.........
