Re: Opening a management company

Asked by Ash2006, Austin, TX Fri Oct 11, 2013

I have been working for low income housing industry for past 6 years I have experience in all fields staring from leasing agent to compliance. I am looking forward to open my own low income housing tax credit management company and need some advise and information on how and what I need to start.

Or even if anyone in Austin TX is looking to do the same and need someone to run compliance department please contact me.

I agree with Lee below, contact the SBA in Austin. I used to live in Austin and they have a pretty good program for entrepreneurs. Also another source is SCORE, it's a hit and miss, depending upon who you get but you can continue looking for other advisors within SCORE.

I'd be interested to hear who it goes. Good luck on your new adventure!

Have you checked with the Small Business Association in your state- they can give you assistance and contacts as well as maybe a loan backed by the SBA. Something to check into.
