RE Agent Covering North Clearwater and Dunedin

I hope to buy a SFH in the coming months (no, not interested in a condo) and I'm trying to find someone who is familiar with Clearwater north of Gulf to Bay and west of Keene up into the Dunedin area. There are so many agents to choose from, I don't know where to start! However, I have attempted to contact 2, but surprisingly I never heard back from them. Since I've been very impressed with the caliber of the responses that I have seen on Trulia, I decided to post a request for help here. Thanks!

Matt, I would also like to recommend Cyndee and Jack Haydon as buyer's agents in that area--I've worked closely with Cyndee in the past and find her to be responsive, knowledgeable, helpful...and just really darned nice!

One of the most important services I provide is communication. My clients know that I answer my phone, return calls & emails promptly unless I am with another client. They all know I silence my phone when I'm with clients and then return the calls after the meeting. This allows me to devote my full attention to each individual I work with. In addition, sellers receive weekly updates; buyers receive daily updates.
When choosing a realtor, I think it's important to ask them how they work. Do they have systems in place to keep you informed? After you've given them your information, can they present you with a plan of action to help you achieve your goals? If you have called or emailed 2 realtors and not received a reply by end of day, move on to another realtor. Perhaps the 2 here on Trulia who have taken the time to reply to your question.
Keep the faith! There is a conscientious realtor in your area that you will enjoy working with.

FIRST ANSWER

Hi Matt,

We specialize in west Clearwater, west Dunedin, and West Palm Harbor real estate, and go the extra mile in everything we do for our clients and soon-to-be friends. It's late and we're a tad delerious now, so please forgive me for not making this too lengthy .... at least for tonight.

You're correct, there are lots of agents to chose from, it can be dizzying. Foremost, in the current real estate market you want to be sure that you have an agent that works full time in the business. There are only 6200 agents active with the Pinellas Board of Realtors, down from about 13,000 a couple of years ago, and I'd venture to guess that many of them have part time jobs at Starbucks. You ant somebody who's business is thriving and can help you navigate a great opportunity for a new home.

It's important to find somebody that regularly participates in continuing education, is proficient in negotiating short sales and foreclosures in Pinellas County, is current with financing trends with FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and 1st time homebuyer programs in Tampa Bay, and, frankly, will take the time to get to know you, your needs, your situation, your dreams and what makes you smile - while looking out for your wallet. And the purchase price you pay for the home is only the beginning - there are so many other contract contigencies that can bite you if you don't have somebody current with contracts and trends protecting your best interests.

There are tremendous home opportunities right now in West Clearwater/Dunedin. Were you thinking of a single family home, town home or condo? Would you like to discuss the benefits of working with Realtors who believe so much in their business that they respond to Trulia questions at 12:58 PM on a Saturday night?

We make clients ridiculously happy, and would like to do the same for you. By the way, we have great references that would be glad to speak with you firsthand.

Feel free to give me a call ... tomorrow. (time to catch some Zzzz's).

Regards,

Julia
