We waited 10 weeks and Citimortgage never recorded the deed in lieu of foreclosure. The HOA had a lien for past due fees which Citimortgage never paid and wouldn't tell us when they would get them paid. We moved on and found something else. As far as I know it still isn't recorded, so you could be under contract for another 4 months or who knows how long if you keep waiting.
I would wonder why you were spending money to lock in Interest rates when things have been so stable, and in fact, have gone down.
These things you are going thru are typical of the REOs and dealing with the Banks; not just Chase.
You are not in control, just be patient.
We still have no idea when this will be done or when we can close. If it doesn't happen soon I will contact an attorney to force execution of the contract or sue for damages or file complaints with the BBB, state dept. of financial institutions, etc...
