Purchasing a FSBO condo in Jupiter Florida. Do I need an attorney to help with documents or will a Title company suffice to do the work?

Absolutely pay the minimal fee to an attorney to review your title insurance policy and your final paperwork. This is extremely crucial if the current owner just bought it and is flipping. You could get stuck with some very expensive past due Condo assessments or even a large first mortgage! Here's a very experienced attorney in Tampa that can review your docs and title committment before you close for not too much money, the title company can email the paperwork:.

Larry Fuentes

Did YOU select the title company or did the SELLER? If you selected the title company you may be okay but most likely the Seller chose the title company and may even have a relationship with them.

All the best,

I am still working on gettingseller to sign purchase agreement. I had a title co but she contacted the seller after the seller asked if the selling price was fair and then the title.realtor person responded and said she would get her comps so confused if she is working in my best interest

You need to have more info.

In Florida, usually the seller pays title and selects the title company or lawyer. Once that occurs, you can ask questions of the docs to the right entity.

Good Luck
