Propane vs. Oil? If someone is building a new house in Westport in the $2.7million range, should they use propane for heat or oil?

I would like to know the opinion of buyers and agents about how propane heat is perceived.

That is definitely a personal choice. I built my home and put in propane. Oil to me is messy and takesup space in the basement and has an odor. Propane is clean and you can bury it in the ground, unlike oil....

Go with geothermal heating and air conditioning. A bit more expensive to install, but so much cheaper to use...

I've never seen a high-end home with propane. Oil is the standard. But if I could build my own home again, it would have geothermal.

Hope this helps!
