Parking! Parking is the problem to coop building, isn't it? If we like an apartment without assigned parking, we would have to be a a waiting list...

Asked by Lilylily0524, 10001 Tue Jun 19, 2012

Besides the waiting list (which could mean a year or 2 waiting), would we have any solution rather than moving our car 2 to 3 times a day to void parking violation? Thank you so much

The parking for Larchmont coops is difficult, but some buildings have shorter waiting lists than others. There are buildings where street parking is not a big problem. There is a coop that offers parking and there is also and area for street parking where you are only required to move your car once a month.
You may also want to consider coops in New Rochelle which offer parking and are less than a mile away from the center of Larchmont and Metro North.

Hi, This is the unfortunate reality with many coops. Some have street parking as well and other options are local lots that require a permit. Every coop and town are going to be different.

Lilly, speak to the management agent of the building, they often know about the parking and can direct you, but that pretty much sums it up.
