P.S. and why can't FHA condo insurance be paid upfront...for the five years?

Why would you want to pay so much up front? What if you refinance out of the FHA in a year or two? You never really know for sure. Just my opinion!

If you plan to own long term it might be worth it but you'll want to have your lender run a cost analysis for you.
