Michele - I know of a couple private investors... they will ask you to put 5-10% down (can set up a payment plan to even pay that out). Give me a shout.

Don is correct, it is a bit tricky to do the lease to own scenarios in Texas. Actually, Realtors are not allowed to write the contract at all. We can assist in locating a property but an attorney has to write the offer and negotiate the terms. There has been too many botched transactions over the years with agents now knowing what they were doing.

I just did a quick search for what you're looking for (very limited info) and I only found 3 properties with a home and at least 10 acres where the owners are considering seller financing. Feel free to contact me offline and I'll send you their info.

I'm not licensed in Texas and am not an expert there, but I understand that it's very difficult/nearly impossible to do a rent-to-own in Texas. There are ways to do it, or to accomplish the same same goal. However, what's allowed in most other states is tightly restricted in Texas. So, make sure you're getting advice from someone who knows Texas regulations.

How much are you going to put down. If you have some cash you may have a shot.
