One West Short Sale Offer Accepted and then short sale revoked, anyone ever had it happen, any ideas how to handle/who to contact?

Asked by Mthomebuyer, Montana City, MT Wed Apr 7, 2010

We submitted a short sale offer to One West, were assigned a negotiator and the negotiator finally got back to us and said One West had accepted the offer and asked the realtor to contact One West for closing info. in a few days. When the realtor contacted One West they said they had the acct. marked paid in full...when the negotiator was contacted, they said the house was no longer in short sale anymore and to contact One West. One West then said that they would only accept the total due. Has anyone ever had an offer accepted and then had a short sale revoked completely? They didn't counter and we don't know what to do next. It seems like the left and right don't know what each other are doing! Any ideas?

Thank you Justin for answering absolutely nothing....and the house went into foreclosure just after the revoked short sale...it sold foreclosed on for over $50,000 less than we offered for it in the short sale.

Your answer makes no sense and is 'all over the place' too.

The process is broken. We have happily bought a foreclosed on home to the detriment of the original home buyer since the banks are NOT working in good faith with purchasers or borrowers in a short sale. I know the original home owner - trust me - this worked out to the detriment of all involved but the bank.

how are you talking to Lender about a particular loan? It is ilegal unless you had written authorization from mortgagee to speak to their lender? Who is handling this short sale, you or 'realtor.' What party is the realtor representing? Short sales are easy, simple and a process, we have handled hundreds, even one in Whitefish, MT in 2009. Anyway your question is all over the place and makes no sense.
