On new construction do you get hit with assessments for sidewalks and streets?

If so, how can I get an idea of how much they might be? Thanks.

It depends if the road is a private development or has been dedicated tothe town/city already. Check with the local tax receiver's office. Sidewalks (if required by the developer or city/town) usually is the cost of the builder who may not be able to get a Certificate of Occupancy without them. If so, make sure it is included in your contract.

Party,

Are you speaking specifically of "community development districts" or CDD's? CDD communities are hit with an additional assessment annually intended to finance the community infrastructure.

Each area has their own deed restrictions and HOA, difficult to state unless you review with builder, read info. specificially for area you are interested in purchasing.
