On average, how long does it take a Charleston, SC area pre-foreclosure to go to the courthouse steps if it doesn't sell beforehand?

It truly depends a lot on the bank! I've seen Bank of America take up to 29 months, but I've also seen smaller banks like regions or Guaranty Bank in as little as 6months. Who is your lender and have they already sent you a demand letter? Have you received a notice of foreclosure yet? How far behind are you on the payments? I've been in the business almost 6 years and my partner and I specialize in Short sales and pre-foreclosure sales. I would love the opportunity to earn your business if you're not already working with a Realtor.

I have seen properties go from 12-18 months since the Last Mortgage Payment until Courthouse Auction.

It depends a good bit on the bank. Do you know the bank?
