Did you get an answer to your question, and did you take action? What is your situation now? The attorney (if there is one) handling the state may be the licensed professional to speak with.

Of course they can, provided the authorized representative of the estate allows it and, If there is a loan on the property, the lender can (and will) foreclose if payments are not current.

A Real Estate company can only sell a home where there is someone authorized to sign the contracts. This is usually the owners, but a lawyer representing the estate or a trustee may be able to authorize this. If Probate is a year away, I doubt the property could be sold, but you may want to speak with the attorney handling the estate. They would be in the best position to answer your question.
