I have a job for you. My wife and I are relocating to the Ft. Hood area from Germany. We are both civilians and are looking to spend between $300,000 and $400,000. We prefer a ranch style so single floor only (preferably). We also prefer little land. No 5 acre spreads, please. We also want new construction but do not want to build our own.
I see nobody builds basements anymore but a walkout basement would be very nice.
We have a lot of furniture and need something big so 3,000 square feet minimum. I need a room for my pool table and massive home theater setup.
3 car garage a plus.
As soon as I can, I will be making a trip to Killeen to do some advanced recon. It would be great to know of some neighborhoods which can meet our needs.
Help me please. Thanks, Mark
Hello Mark,
there are actually several subdivisions that meet your needs and depending on how far away from Fort Hood you wanted to be you can include lake views.
Right now there are several houses that meet your needs in the follow ing subdivisions
Bella Charca (New subdivision in Nolanville)
The Ridge (Harker Heights)
and 4 in Belton along the lake.
I would be more than happy to send you the listings if you like.
Basements and walkout basements are not normally available and none of the listings currently available offer them.
if you would like, head to my website http://www.forthoodhomesearch.com and ill send you an email with the listings for you to view
good luck
Mark,
I was stationed in Wiesbaden myself when I was on active duty (12th Aviation Brigade). Anyway, I will be running a search for you soon. Please contact me via email (greg@forthoodestates.com) so I can send you what I find. I will look forward to your visit. Also, feel free to use the resources on my website http://www.forthoodestates.com to run your own search.
Greg
Hi Mark,
There are a few neighborhoods that would meet your needs, but one that sticks out in my mind is in Harker Heights, called Lakeview at the Ridge. This neighborhood has larger homes with 3-4 car garages, and some of the homes are on hilly lots so a tri-level home or a walkout-type basement might be an option. This is a new construction neighborhood as well.
There are other neighborhoods that would work as well. If you'd like, I can send you a list of what's available in the area, in the price range you're looking for. Or, just visit our website and search the MLS!
We'd be happy to help you find your home here, and provide information on the area and home buying in general.
