Non purchasing spouse

Asked by murd, Allen, TX Thu Jan 3, 2013

As a non purchasing spouse I have good credit yet i found out I have a student loan that I didn't know of that went into default. I'm in the process of getting it rehabed but will this hurt my wifes chances of getting a FHA loan?

If your wife is the only one applying for the loan and she can qualify based only on her income and credit, it shouldn't cause you any problems.
