Some things you will have to think about buying a new home in that area are the comparable sales no matter if they are new homes or existing. Once you find some comparable homes look at the taxes. More often than not the new homes will have much higher taxes just due to the structure of real estate taxing. After you are done comparing that you will have to ask yourself if the property you are looking at will be something that someone will want more than an existing house in the area.
