New Construction Mold Issues

Asked by diane_conner, Tallahassee, FL Thu May 16, 2013

We are currently in the process of having a home built. The new construction loan is a FHA loan. We have identified mold infiltrating the wood prior to installation but the builder still continued. Will the FHA loan be able to continue if the mold report, which lists 3 separate types of mold identified, has listed this prior to the final loan appraisal and the home is released to us? What are the FHA guidelines regarding new construction FHA loans as they relate to mold in the home.
