Need advice choosing neiborhood near Sunnyvale, CA
My husband and I are looking to buy a SFH with easy commute to north Sunnyvale, and excellent schools, particularly elementary, preferrably also middle school. We have looked at 94087, but the ~$1M budget needed to get a 3B SFH there is a little bit of a stretch to us. We would be more comfortable with 800-900K. Would anyone please recommend nearby neiborhoods with good schools, as well as good values and growth potentials given the current market situation? Thanks a lot. - E.M.

You have many choices to buy a SFH in Sunnyvale. Santa Clara with Cupertino schools will be a bit cheaper. If you don't have a realtor yet, I like to meet you to discuss your specific need. Grace (408) 799-8887 Fri May 16 2008, 23:52 Web Reference: http://gracekeng.wcrblogs.com/

Hi E.M. Perhaps you might want to add Mountain View as a consideration as well.
Schools associated with 94087 are: ELEMENTARY: Cumberland - API 901 Cherry Chase - API 900 Laurelwood - API 883 MIDDLE: Marian Peterson - API 845 Sunnyvale - API 712 HIGH: Homestead - API 838 Fremont - API 709 Adrian Wilcox - API 734 Homes in 94087 under $900k are usally older unless attached. Area to consider? Mountain View Reverse commute to Sunnyvale Home to consider - Brand New 1574 Sq. ft. 3 Beds/3.5 Bath Priced just under $800k Schools - Frank L. Huff Elementary - API 902 Crittenden - API 734 Mountain View High - API 833 Might be worth taking a look. Valarie valarie.schwab@newhomes.com Tue May 13 2008, 18:08

Hello EM, You can definitely get a home in the 800-900k range with excellent schools. I have many clients with your same requirements and I'm very familiar with those areas. If you like I can send you listings with specific schools near or over 900 API scores. Keep in mind that in those areas there are still multiple offers. You may have to look in Santa Clara or San Jose 95129 and 95130. Cupertino schools, Moreland Schools, Union schools. Feel free to contact me via my website below.. Good luck.
