Erik, Home Buyer in New York, NY

NYC Sponsor unit

Asked by Erik, New York, NY Sun Oct 19, 2008

Hey I'm looking to buy a sponsor unit studio in one of the five boroughs of New York.
My question is: have the prices bottomed yet and is there anything available for around 100K?
Any help would be appreciated.

In westchester, you may be able to find a co-op for around that price you quoted. Check my website: Paulmvpteam.com and let me know if you want to see something there.

Hi Erik-

The 3rd Quarter Report for Manhattan and Brooklyn came out at the beginning of the month. Here is a link to the report so you can read it for yourself, http://www.prudentialelliman.com/MainSite/MarketReports/Repo…

We are seeing buyers who are nervous about the market and some sellers that are ready to negotiate. Our financially qualified buyers are able to make aggressive offers in this type of market.

In Manhattan and Brookyln, you can find a sponsor unit for around 175-225k. In Queens, the pricing starts at around 130k as does the Bronx.

If you would like more information about a particular neighborhood or would like to speak about your real estate goals, feel free to email me.
