I always direct our buyers to http://education.state.nj.us/rc/rc10/menu/39-5090.html and http://njmonthly.com/articles/towns_and_schools/highschoolra…

Also, if you 'd like direct links to each of the mid town direct area ( Summit, Chatham, Millburn, Maplewood, Madison, etc..) elementary, middle and high schools, you can find them on each of my community pages: http://www.sueadler.com/communities.

Hi Sohoseeker

There are many "rankings" out there - they can provide a variety of lists - as much depends on the criteria that is used........for example......average SAT scores? percentage that go on to college? number of AP courses offered in the high school? % of teachers with advanced degrees?.......the list goes on and on.

Feel free to visit my website, as I have at least 4 links to school ranking sites, as well as a number of additional sites that provide school information.

Best wishes with your move!

One of the most reliable resources is National Center for Educational Statistics ( http://www.nces.ed.gov ). The information is collected from the school board level and analyzed by the federal government. It does not compare schools, but simply reports each schools performance. Hope this helps. As a realtor I direct clients to the local school board for information on public school performance. I suggest you start with the New Jersey Department of Education or the New Jersey School Boards Association. Best of luck to you.
