Hi T,
Get up early mornings and take the Bus in the Newburgh Terminal Rte 17K. There is a express Bus that leaves at 6:30 every morning. Your car parking is free.

This is the quickest way, it is proven...I tried them all.

Try taking the ferry from newburgh to beacon and then catch the train to grand central...parking is always available for the ferry, parking in beacon is a pain...salisbury mills to penn station is really easy through secaucus...

Why did you not explore the transportation options before buying; anyway try the trains and busses and see what suits your time best.

There are several different options you can explore. There is a train station in Beacon (right across the river) that will put you on a train right to NYC. You can take the train from Salisbury Mills (Route 94) to Hoboken NJ or Seacaucus NJ and then hop on the Path train into NYC. Or you can check with Shortline for buses into NYC. There is also a train station in Harriman for you to take into NJ etc... Good luck!
