Once your mom is ready to begin a comprehensive search, she'll want to get systematic - and have the agent search for homes in the ideal area and the ideal price range that meet any other criteria - not every property is found in the magazines. The magazines are also generally organized by agent/brokerage rather than by property type. So, it's good for looking at pictures and dreaming, but again, not an efficient way to really search for a home.
