looking. We are looking for single-family,, nice yard for the kids. We like Atlantic Beach.. maybe something near Atlantic Beach Middle School.. something under the 80,000 mark. Maybe around 75(?) Help!!
Megan,
Atlantic Beach is a great area that offers much for families! It's proximity to the base and the benefits of beach living make it a great choice. As a mother of 5 that has had to move for my husband's work, I know the challenges you face, but remember, it is an adventure! As in the previous agent's answers, it is important for you to begin working with an agent to assess your needs and get you the most home for the best price based on those needs. Remember, a buyers agent costs you nothing...and we work for you. I would love the opportunity to help!
Best of luck and many thanks to your husband for his work in protecting our country and ensuring our freedoms!

Hi Megan,
Have to agree that the first step would be to look for a realtor. The second is to speak with a mortgage loan lender such as the credit union or bank. I would recommend that you look into a VA mortgage as there is no money down and the credit criteria might be easier. Having a look in the Atlantic Beach area there are two homes up to the $80,000 target. Both are being sold as is which could require an investment to renovate. You will have to go between $99,900 and $125,000 where there are currently 5 homes available. Again speak with a mortgage lender to get a handle on what your purchasing power is as well as what you will be compfortable with for a mortgage payment.

All the best
