We are about five years from retirement but don't think we should pass up current market prices, so are looking for second home in FL. We'd like to rent out until we want to live there. We are totally novices so need a buyer's realtor and probably a tax attorney to help us navigate, from how much to offer, to perhaps a foreclosure. We are not even sure what we can afford; depends on what kind of tax breaks having a rental would bring to bottom line. Without any kind of rental income/tax breaks we are looking for $200M range; that probably won't buy much as a rental, but that's what we need advice about. We're coming down to look at a condo on Treasure Island that a realtor friend of ours has a connection to and we'd like to look at more properties while we're there. We've spent a lot of time at friends' homes/condos on Clearwater Beach, Fort Myers Beach and in Fort Myers. We're open to locations except not north of Dunedin. If you can help answer a million questions, please contact.
Diane,
If you get into a contract in Florida, I would like to give you a Good Faith Estimate, If you are taking a loan on it, if your paying cash nevermind. I work for a local bank and would pull all my strings to get your loan! :)
