I would suggest Alta Loma - great area and lots of horse property with trails surrounding the communities. All there alley ways are unpaved to allow for horses to travel to and from easily! You are certainly in the right area for horse property. If you don't have an agent who if familiar with this type of listing, I can refer you to an excellent agent in your area.

There are also quite a few homes in the Rancho Cucamonga foothills that are 1/2 acre or more that will allow horses as well. These are beautiful homes with large square footage and may even include a pool for $700,000 and less. There are 3 homes listed in San Dimas at this time that specify that they are horse property, they range from 2322 to 2600 square feet in size and are listed at $$645,000 to $745,000.00. However, only one of them looks more conducive to having horses, if I had more information regarding size, if it could be located in the surrounding areas of San Dimas., it would be helpful.
