Many more factors come into play determine how a family can qualify for a mortgage. Best confer with a loan officer. Most lenders require at least 2 years from a BK qualify for a loan

Much will depend on your current finances, credit, debt, etc., therefore consider visiting with any qualified loan officer(s), after reviewing your overall financials, he/she can make a determination on qualification--then go from there.
