Moving to North Chili, NY? How are the schools and neighborhoods?

Asked by Fabiana, Somers, NY Wed Feb 13, 2008

My family is considering moving to North Chili, NY (outside Rochester, NY). I currently reside in Westchester, NY. I don't know anything about the area. Can someone give me some pro and cos about moving up there (besides the lake effect)? Specifics about neighborhood, schools, newcomers club, etc? Anyone familiar with Faber homes and construction quality? Are they trustworthy?

As a previous agent answered ... we are not allowed to discuss schools/neighborhood. I've had great success with http://www.epodunk.com. You'll find a lot of useful information on this site. Then you can contact the school district and local agencies to find further information.

If you'd like to interview me to see what services I can provide for you ... please contact me.

There have been a number of inquiries about the Rochester and Buffalo areas on Trulia recently. It seems that people are discovering the benefits of living in a region of NY with a relatively low cost of living, including lovely homes w/large lots under $150K; beautiful natural attractions; internationally regarded institutions; and a lively civic culture. How do I know? I grew up not far from Chili and still have family nearby in Greece, Gates, Spencerport and Brockport. In terms North Chili, try this link for community, school and homes values info: http://www6.onboardnavigator.com/webcontent/OBWC_report.aspx…

Realtors are not allowed (by law) to comment on neighborhoods or schools. We are only allowed to be the "source of the source."

I have "community info" and "school info" on my website, http://GailGladstone.com, and there are dozens of other school report type websites available on the internet.
