Moving to Littleton, CO. Kids would attend Chatfield HS. What areas under $275K? Could rent for awhile.?

I've been looking at townhomes/condos, but don't want it to be full of empty nesters!!! I want it to be where kids her age (14) would be attending school in that area. Are there any areas you would recomment near Charfield HS, that are NICE rentals or lower priced townhouses under $275,000? I still have to sell my home in MN. THANKS.

Thanks for your reply. If you will send me an email address where I can send you a list of homes/townhomes under $275K I will do a search and get you the list. Then you can select a few and I can send you the MLS sheets on the homes -so you can see what kind of homes and townhomes are available. thanks -Bob Berry email address: bob.berry@coloradohomes.com

You can buy a newer townhome in the area for under $225K. I have a NICE (model showroom condition)townhome with a two car garage for sale or rent very close to Chatfield High, if you already haven't found one. I am not a real estate professional and have lived in the area for many years and can help with many questions. Email: cocableconnect@aol.com

You have had a lot of replies with marketing hype. So, I will give you basic advice with no sale pitch. There are homes under $275,000 in the Chatfield area -but they will either be older townhomes or single family detached that need some work. There also may be some good foreclosure or pre-foreclosure deals when you are ready to buy. If you want a strait answer - let me know what type of home you need -not want, but need for your family - and I will send you MLS listings by email of homes that would fit your price range and your home needs. I am a realtor - and I specialize in being a buyers agent -helping folks find the right home, the best price, and get financing. You can contact me at bob.berry@coloradohomes.com.

If you could use some insight on this area - please contact me. A few months ago, I bought a house in the Chatfield HS area and I'm NOT a Realtor. I'm just a new homeowner with two kids.

Deb: We have an office-- right there in the Ken Caryl/ Chatfield area. You can definitely buy a nice home, or a town-home-- for under 275,000. This area offers a lot-- being near the foothills, near many parks, bike paths-- and easy access to the mountains. Deb,

There are many fabulous homes in your price range. I would look at single family detached homes because they hold their value better. www.SimpleHomeFionder.com has every home in the MLS, you can look up listings by school and it will even email you new listings automatically when they became available.

If you are looking at townhomes so you don’t have to so yard work, it’s always cheaper to pay the neighbor’s kid than the HOA fee.

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Deb, Here are several resources that might help.
1. Lindy Marquez with Beacon Properties. 303-709-0998. I have given her several referrals over the last 7 years when people are looking to rent.
2. www.rentals.com is an excellant rental website you can use to do some research.
3. For more relocation info click on this link. http://www.homesellteam.com/Relocation_Info/page_615600.html

4. Also do you need the names of some top agents in your area? I do know of several successful agents that I can research for you and then get back with you. Let me know what town you are in.

5. I also have available a relocation guide and CD that can be mailed to you. Just let me know by email your mailing address if you are interested.

Hi Deb
If you haven't already ruled out a house instead of a townhome then there are actually quite a few detached homes in that area for your price range. Here they are if you want to take a look: http://www.realasave.com/Search_execute.action?lng=-105.1290…

A good site for checking out rentals is HotPads.com. Lots of photos and easy access to contact info if needs be. Best of luck to you.
