You can buy a newer townhome in the area for under $225K. I have a NICE (model showroom condition)townhome with a two car garage for sale or rent very close to Chatfield High, if you already haven't found one. You have had a lot of replies with marketing hype. So, I will give you basic advice with no sale pitch. There are homes under $275,000 in the Chatfield area -but they will either be older townhomes or single family detached that need some work. There also may be some good foreclosure or pre-foreclosure deals when you are ready to buy. There are many fabulous homes in your price range. I would look at single family detached homes because they hold their value better. www.SimpleHomeFionder.com has every home in the MLS, you can look up listings by school and it will even email you new listings automatically when they became available.

If you are looking at townhomes so you don’t have to so yard work, it’s always cheaper to pay the neighbor’s kid than the HOA fee.
