Las Colinas has some great areas that have walking distance dining and shopping areas, also being situated between Irving, and Downtown Dallas will make a perfect commute no matter where you are working. Feel free to contact me at Keith@KeithHefner.net and we can look at some options. 972.855.8555

I live in Oak Lawn/ Uptown Area and I love it. I walk to store, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

You can find a great home that has all you needs. I would need some more information in terms of your housing type preference and then I can comprise a list of the 3 hottest areas that meet all of your needs. Feel free to call, I would love to help! :)

You can begin your search here by browsing some homes within your price range in Dallas and Irving.
You can also find Realtors working in both areas to assist you in the process.

You have some different options. North Dallas, Preston Hollow, maybe North Irving around Riverside drive.

Kind of depends if you want vintage or new...big yard or small....house or condo.

If you want to spend some time talking about it just give me a call.

The link will give you some options:

My thinking is that living close to work is less stressful, little or no commute, saving time and gas so consider a location within 20 min.

Wow! You sure did get quite a few responses already! I'll throw my two cents in.. I think Downtown or Uptown would be great for your lifestyle, with a fairly simple commute. There are a ton of new builds and a mix of historical properties to choose from. The great thing about Dallas is you never run out of options. If you haven't found an agent yet, I'd be happy to help you with your search, just give me a call or send me an email. Good Luck!

There are several great areas to consider - Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow even the heart of Uptown/Downtown has some beautiful new condos. Las Colinas is another great option but given the art/eating out I would say get uptown = ) I live in and know this area well & it definitely has ALL you are looking for !! Commute to Irving would only be about 20 min or so - please feel free to reach out directly if you would like help / professional representation....

Others here have already mentioned several neighborhoods to consider. Homes within $800K range in Highland Park and University Park are mostly older homes, duplexes on half lots, condos or townhomes. Do you have preferences on age of homes, style, etc.? More criteria will help you narrow down the list of neighborhoods.

Hi there!
I have some great ideas on location--as mentioned by other agents there are a lot of possibilities and it will depend a lot on your taste in homes as to which way to go. I'd love to set up a custom search for you that will automatically email you homes matching your criteria as soon as they come on the market. Great way to research ahead of time and for me to learn your likes and dislikes. Feel free to call me to discuss further. You'll enjoy our Art District-- my husband and I regularly go to see latest talent displayed! Our daughter had her wedding reception at the fabulous Dallas Museum of Art. Hope to hear from you soon!

There are some great options to consider. Are you looking for a home, high rise, condo, or townhouse?
Are you wanting to live in a community neighborhood, or a building with no yard?
What size place do you need? i.e. How many bedrooms & baths? How much living space (sq ft)? etc.

A few great areas to consider:

Preston Hollow
Park Cities (Highland Park / University Park)
Uptown
Parts of Oaklawn
Lakewood
Downtown (highrises)
Victory Park (highrises)

I would love to discuss your needs with you. If you have some time, and not already working with a Realtor, let's talk. Please visit my website to view every home, condo, townhouse currently on the market for sale.

You'll need to provide quite a bit more information to any Realtor you decide to work with. I could give you a few areas, but they may not ultimately fit your needs? Just to start, do you like urban living or suburban living? Sooo many questions. Let me know if I can help.
