I am living in Brandon FL and I am on H1B VISA now. I am planning to buy house and looking for mortgage to buy one. Please let me know if H1B VISA is eligible to get competitive mortgage rate as everyone. Please let me know if you know of any Bank/Agency who has done processing of similar loan file. I keep reading that the underwriters needs to be educated on H1B VISA class. So I am looking for someone who has worked with underwriters who are know this subject well. Any help in t his regard will be highly appreciable.

Advancial Federal Credit Union out of Dallas can help. Our program is designed for professionals entering the US on a valid work visa or permit. No time limit for visa expiration and no US credit or SS# are required. We will qualify on offer letters should you wish to be prequalified before moving to the US. The program requires a 20% down payment and foreign assets are allowed on a case by case basis. Jumbo and Super Jumbo loans are also allowed.

Vishalsonawane11, H1V visa indicates that you are a sponsored professional working in the US, with a non resident or permanent resident status?

Anticipate being asked for the following information when going through the mortgage loan process:

Credit history, 2 year history
Employment, 2 year history
Income, sourced from the US and a letter/contract from your employer indicating that it will continue for the next three years (future)
Loan to Value (property) 20% down US funds
Social Security Number

The request for this critieria is typical of applying for a mortgage loan.
