I`m thinking about buying a Maronda townhome in Tampa at Ashburn Square, but have read some bad reviews,
Does anyone know about this development? And it is worth the money?
I have a good friend who purchased a 4000 square foot home new from Miranda several years ago and while it didn't have a whole lot of character (basically a big box), it was a lot of square footage for the money. Miranda is known for not working with realtors, or at least that was the case a few years ago, I think this has changed now that they NEED buyers, but that left a bad view of the company in the eyes of a lot of realtors and may be one of the reasons for some of the bad reviews. From what I've seen, their products are pretty plain-jane, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, just something to take into consideration when comparing them to others.
Sorry I have not nor will I sell anything by Maronda Builders. I have heard good and bad, but it is what I have personally seen that troubles me the most. That is about as far as I am willing to go with my statement.
I hope this helps.

Steve,
Any townhome is worth something and, in the current market, is better than a condo. There are 11 townhomes in the development that are for sale. They range from $86,000 to $160,000 and average around a $100,000. My suggestion is to drive around the complex and talk with the residents you come across. They are always your best source of info. The townhomes seem to be priced accordingly and are large and a good value. What are the bad reviews that you are reading?? Are there construction issues?? Or just disgruntled homeowners that do not like the amount of foreclosures in the complex, because investors pulled out.
Let us know if we can help.
