Hello Sing,

In looking at the MLS listings today, there are a few properties available in the Marina District within that price range. However, most of them a smaller 1 BR units (700 sf). There's one property in Renaissance, a beautiful high end development, listed at $429,000 that's 888 sf per the MLS data. There's another unit that is over 1000 sf listed in Columbia Place, a mid-rise development, for $429,000. As you can see, there is some limited availability but it's around. I would also suggest that you stay informed as to the units that are going to trustee sale. These are properties that are in default and face foreclosure. The banks attempt to offload the property via auction before entering the lengthy and expensive foreclosure process. You typically need 100% liquid funds to purchase at auction. However, I have a contact that can assist buyers in purchasing these properties without liquid funds. Let me know if you want more information in that regard.

Rentals of around 1000sf can range anywhere from $2500 up to $4000 per month depending on what type of development, elevation and view. Search on our website or feel free to contact me directly for full availability.

My team specializes in the metro San Diego area and I know the downtown area & availability very well. Our website, http://www.mysandiegoagent.com, has a very user friendly interactive mapping search tool for downtown. Its also one of the only websites that has a rental listing search engine. Definitely check it out.

We would be delighted with an opportunity to earn your trusted business.
Kind regards,
Tara

Hello Sing,

In order to get into the 1000sq. Ft range downtown you will need to probably spend over $400,00. There a few on the market just under $300,000. It depends where in 92101, and since you are stated the Marina district that is going to run a little more.

If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to visit my website below or give me a call (7600815-3866. I have a great listing in Bankers Hill, but I don't think that is where you are looking to live.

Good Luck...Catherine Barden
