Both of these cities would be excellent choices. They have great, A-rated schools, lots of shopping, easy access to the 417 toll road to get you around town, and offer many choices of neighborhoods and communities.

Some of my favorite neighborhoods in Winter Springs are Winding Hollow, Parkstone, Tuscawilla, Avery Park and Oak Forest. Equally nice possibilities in Oviedo are Live Oak Reserve, Oviedo Forest, Heatherbrooke, Bentley Woods, Kingsbridge, and Carillon, just to name a few. In both of these cities, you'll find deed restricted communities as well as very nice areas where no homeowners association is required. You have excellent choices if you're deciding between Oviedo and Winter Springs based on public schools. Both cities are perenially among the best in the State and you'll find that most of the schools at ALL levels (elementary, middle or high schools) are very strong and almost exclusively "A" rated schools.

I also have had several clients who have visited the schools their children might attend before selecting a home or neighborhood. I've found the school staff more than willing to talk about their school and programs and student successes.

I've relocated people from around the area and around the country and also have been a Seminole County resident for many, many years. In my opinion the schools are top notch and you can't go wrong with Oviedo or Winter Springs (or Longwood, Altamonte or Lake Mary for that matter)!
