Hi Reety,
Why go someone else when you have so many choices in the City of Newburgh? You have the Hudson River Views, the City parks views, garden views...attractive for potentail renters. There is a variety of multi family homes available and many have great potential for a very good return in the future. Besides when you buy and the tenants pay their rent you have nothing else to worry about but to always keep your investment functional and in good shape. You only have to worry about finding good, qualified credit worthy paying tenants. Several community Real estate agents are available and willing to help you find your multi family home and your qualifed tenants. Your investment in Newburgh is welcome and will be an addittion for the needed future growth and improvement of this community.

Only you can make that decision. Why not visit some areas and take the time to explore them, check out transportation, shops, dine at a local eatery, etc., and then take it from there.

The city of Newburgh has some area for investment potential, If you buy in one of the improving areas of the city and have a someone (realtor) find qualified renters for your investment property the experience should be a positive one.

usually you'll get a higher return on investment in an area like newburgh as compared to a much nicer are. I don't recommend buying in a neighborhood with "a high police presence" but you can find some nice investments just outside of those areas, always remember to drive through the area a couple of different times throughout the day just to see what the area is like. check out HudsonValleyInvestors.com as well for deals that aren't listed in the MLS, and to look in the MLS you can check out my site at OrangeAndRocklandHomes.com

There are many options for two family homes. You should call a Buyers Representative Real Estate Agent to help you sort through the options and find the right place for you. I would be happy to help you. I am not only a buyers agent I own several investment properties myself. Please call 845-800-7086 or email me at paddypizappi@realesolutions.com.
